“No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow.”
The wattle and the daffodils are in full bloom, and our property is a blaze of yellow. With a bit of luck the winter rain has finally dumped its load- and the birds can get to their annual business of nest building.
Spring is a time of renewal and growth and its often a time when people think about their personal strategies for all aspects of their life. You only have to look at the number of ads on TV for healthy eating to know that others have identified this.
We know that many of our clients find the winter months tough – dark nights, cold weather, the inability to get out and about. It’s easy to slip back into self-defeating and unhelpful behaviours- lack of contact with others, eating too much, no exercise, binge watching TV.
So, maybe now is the time to feel the early energy of spring and come and spend a couple of hours with a horse and reflect on the few months ahead. ‘What would I like to achieve by this time next week/month/year?’ ‘What do I need to do for myself/my loved one/ others’. A client said the other day- ‘it’s great to be back with the horses. I needed to reconnect with myself’.
Come and give yourself a spring clean for your emotions and senses. Ask one of our horses what they think! You might be surprised by their answers.
